How does Cosmelan work?

Cosmelan treatment by Mesoestetic was created as a result of years of research and investment in an ideal formulation that would cure hyperpigmentation (dark spot). In the mid-1990s, Dr. Eduardo Krulig from Venezuela invented the Amelan mask to remove dark spots. This formula of Dr. Krulig has been perfected over the years and thus a unique system for treating different types of blemishes on facial skin has been created.

Preparation and procedure of Cosmelan treatment:

This chemical treatment is performed by applying a mask that is a type of chemical peel in the doctor’s office or salon, after examination by a professional - doctor or beautician, and determining the type of pigmentation and skin phototype according to the Fitzpatrick scale.
The examination in our office is supplemented by an examination under Wood's lamp in the chamber.
It is a device that emits ultra-violet light with a wavelength of 365 nm. It helps us to determine the depth of pigmentation as well as to determine whether melasma has a vascular component (in which case additional laser treatment may be needed).
The mask (chemical peeling) stays on the face for 8-10-12 hours, after which the patient removes it at home by simply washing it.
