DERMAMELAN is a unique depigmentation treatment with double; short-term and long-term depigmenting effect. It is the only treatment that works on all phases and forms of creating hyperpigmentation.

How does Dermamelan work?

Therefore, it effectively removes the existing hyperpigmentation, but also prevents the reappearance in the same place and the appearance of new pigmentations.

Forms and types of pigmentation:

Pigmented lesions or hyperpigmentation are a global problem and occur in more than 90% of adults over the age of 40 in some form. The most important forms of hyperpigmentation are:

  • Melasma / Chloasma (chronic disorder of melanin pigment synthesis that manifests itself in the form of dark spots on the forehead, temples, cheeks, nose. It is common in women of childbearing age who use some types of birth control pills, or in pregnancy - the so-called "pregnancy spots".
  • Freckles (efelides) are tiny macular pigments that are inherited autosomally dominantly. The number of melanocytes in the spots is not increased, but their activity is, after exposure to UV rays, the pigment is formed to a greater extent. It is more common for people with red hair.
  • Lentigo solaris - sun and aging spots on parts of the skin chronically exposed to the sun: hands, forearms, decollete and face, size up to 1cm
  • Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation - PIH (after acne, sunburn, tanning bed and inadequately performed chemical peels and laser procedures, injuries, use of drugs that make the skin more sensitive to sunlight - photosensitive drugs, as well as some skin diseases - atopic dermatitis).

Fizpatrick scale:

According to Fitzpatrick, there are 6 phototypes of skin according to the amount of pigment in the skin, hair and eyes, as well as reactions when exposed to UV radiation. Melasma and PIH more often affect people with darker skin (phototypes III and IV according to Fitzpatrick) and those who live in sunny areas. After removing the causative factor or treatment, especially in the winter, they can withdraw, but it is very common for them to recur at the first major exposure to the sun and are chronic.

Preparation and procedure of Dermamelan treatment:

First it’s necessary to do a dermatological examination that includes a clinical examination and examination with a WOOD lamp (blue light).
Before the main treatment, it is recommended to do a chemical peel with mandelic or kojic acid in order to remove the surface, dead cells and stabilize the activity of melanocytes.

Melanin is a pigment that is naturally found in the skin, hair and eyes where it is evenly distributed. Under the influence of factors such as sun exposure, heat, hormones or after injury, the distribution of melanin pigment is disturbed, and thus the formation of an uneven complexion, freckles and blemishes.

Recovery and results:

Dermamelan treatment is the only professional treatment that solves the problem of hyperpigmentation in just one treatment by eliminating hyperpigmentation, and also regulating the re-production of melanin.
In addition to its original effect on hyperpigmentation, this chemical peel also achieves a strong anti-aging effect.

Hyperpigmentation or blemishes, in addition to the aesthetic moment, also has a negative psychological and emotional impact on the person, so for years solutions have been sought that could keep this problem under control, and Dermamelan is an ideal solution.
